Information for Single Parents
Although the Kendal Family Drop In Centre is open during the week, it is weekends that single parents and their families often find most difficult. We therefore create the Saturday activity sessions for families to come along to at Sandgate School. Here you can meet other families, parents and children with the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy a wide range of activities. Some weekends we stay overnight in a tent or youth hostel, or just have a day trip somewhere exciting. Other weekends we meet up for a walk, have a coffee or just arrange to meet in a local park. Keeping the cost down is always our main concern but it is surprising what fun you can have with friends when funds are limited! For more advice and information, give us a phone or drop us an email.
